Geneva Camerata

The Geneva Camerata (also called GECA), is an orchestra composed of thirty-five international soloists from the young generation. Based in Geneva, it performs music of all periods and styles, from early baroque music to contemporary music. The Music and Artistic Director of the Geneva Camerata is the conductor and pianist David Greilsammer. The orchestra was founded in 2013.
In November 2013, The Geneva Camerata performed on tour with the mandolin soloist Avi Avital, at venues such as Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, Radial System in Berlin, and Kings Place in London. In addition to presenting classical concerts, The Geneva Camerata performs with musicians from other artistic fields, such as Jazz, World Music, and Electronic Music.
The Geneva Camerata performs both on period instruments and on modern instruments. The Geneva Camerata is involved in projects that present collaborations with other forms of art such as Dance, Theatre, Video, and Visual Arts.
